HMI series, Automation system CPX-E PLC and Air preparation MSE6
Attendees had the opportunity to view Festo’s innovative board equipped with an HMI series ranging from 4 to 21 inches, with an optional Process Automation Toolkit for optimised faceplates perfectly tailored for process industries. It is fully integrated with CoDesys, offering a choice between Profinet or EtherCAT master functionality. Coupled with the Automation system CPX-E PLC, this system provides localised control with an integrated EtherCAT master, plus optional Profinet or Ethernet-IP slave capabilities. Furthermore, they have the IoT-enabled air monitoring and control MSE6, which features soft-start, energy-saving functions, leak detection, and is Fieldbus enabled. This air preparation unit is known for regulating compressed air supply when the system is at a standstill and prevents waste caused by leakages.
Compact Drive CMMT-AS
The CMMT-AS is a compact servo drive for point-to-point and interpolating motion, suitable for various Ethernet-based bus systems. It can be integrated directly into the system environments of different control manufacturers. Its user-friendly design is evident in its auto-tuning feature, which supports easy commissioning and automatically optimises the control behaviour of rotary and linear motions. Compact yet powerful, the servo drive operates with precise force, speed and position control. Ideal for industries such as packaging, electronics, automotive, and robotics, the CMMT-AS enhances efficiency, precision, and flexibility in high-performance automation applications.
Servo motor EMMT-AS
The servo motor EMMT-AS, ideal for demanding and dynamic applications, is known for its excellent controllability and path accuracy for precise positioning tasks. The space-saving, single-cable solution significantly reduces installation effort, providing a convenient solution. With a choice of five motor sizes in up to 4 lengths, this servo motor offers a reliable, highly dynamic, and precise performance with low cogging torque, ensuring high synchronisation even at low rotational speeds. With its unmatched precision, efficiency, and flexibility, the EMMT-AS is the ultimate choice for those who refuse to compromise on performance.
AZ – Armaturen
The AZ-Armaturen is a high-performance plug valve engineered to excel in various industries, including chemical, food, mining, paper, and pulp. It effortlessly handles high operating pressures and aggressive, toxic, or abrasive media. When reliability and durability are non-negotiable, this valve delivers without compromise.
Complete Filter Regulator PCRP
The PCRP is a stainless-steel solution for corrosive environments, built to withstand extreme temperatures from –60 °C to + 80 °C. It features robust housing for the specific requirements of the process automation industry, and it has two pressure gauge connections for different installation options.
ISO valve terminal VTSA
The VTSA is ideal for maximum pneumatic and electrical function integration. Its standout feature is the ability to mix five-valve sizes on a single-valve terminal, making it a versatile solution for complex automation needs. Fully compliant with ISO 15407-2 and ISO 5599-2, the VTSA ensures easy integration and can serve as a complete installation solution for large-scale machine concepts. Its robust metal housing, fully sealed valves, and ducted exhaust and pilot air system provide superior protection against fine dust, ensuring reliable operation in the toughest conditions.
VTUG-AP-I (Festo AP-I Bus)
The VTUG is a multi-pin plug valve terminal with a Festo-specific I-Port interface for bus nodes (CTEU). It has reversible piston spool valves, up to 24 valve positions, and reduced power consumption. This valve terminal uses the CPX AP I Bus, a flexible, decentralised, compact and lightweight automation system with a high degree of protection IP65/IP67. The system’s performance is future-proof in terms of the forthcoming demands on the digital factory and advantageous compared with a slow point-to-point connection.
VTUX
The VTUX is a convertible valve terminal that allows maximum flexibility in machine design. It offers the highest level of communication performance, from the tried-and-tested multi-pin interface to the latest AP communication interface, which has proven extremely valuable for further expansions. Compact, lightweight, yet robust, it is flexible for centralised and decentralised installation. This modular and cost-effective engineering artistry has high flow rates and versatile options for creating pressure zones. The VTUX is not just a valve terminal; it’s a game-changer in automation and is built to adapt, expand, and perform without limits.
