Outcomes
After completing this course, the participant will be able to:

  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the principles and concepts of emotional intelligence in respect of life and work relations.
  • Analyse the role of emotional intelligence in interpersonal and intrapersonal relationships in life and work situations.
  • Analye the impact of emotional intelligence on life and work interactions.
  • Evaluate their own level of emotional intelligence in order to determine development areas.
  • Liaise and network with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Devise and apply a strategy to establish constructive relationships with team members in a unit.
  • Devise and apply a strategy to establish constructive relationships with managers.
  • Identify and minimise personal conflict in the workplace.

Requirements

  • Matric OR English, Computer Literacy & Mathematical Literacy all at NQF level 4.
  • Certified copy of a South African ID or passport.
  • Certified copy of Matric/Grade 12 certificate (if applicable).
  • Certified copy of highest qualification (if higher than Matric/Grade 12).
  • Updated CV.
  • Letter from the learner’s employer or hosting company, confirming that the learner is employed or hosted by the company:

- Must be on the company letterhead
- Must include the learner’s names and surname (as per their ID or passport copy)
- Must include the learner’s ID/passport number
- Must state the learner’s job title and start date of employment

*If the learner is self-employed then business registration certificates need to be submitted.
