The best insights into a company invariably come from those who know it well and have personal experience of it. We have around 20,000 employees worldwide, and we have asked some of them to describe what it's like to work at Festo. You can read more about the careers and activities of people who could soon be your colleagues on the following pages.
Jan Seyler started as a software developer at Festo in 2015 and has made a big difference since then. He is passionate about driving forward the topics of artificial intelligence, robotics and digital innovations at Festo. Today, he is head of AI and control technology in research and advanced development.
"What has always excited me about my work at Festo is the freedom I have and that I can contribute in many ways: from the idea, to the development, to the marketing of digital products - strategically, dynamically and very creatively as "maker and doer".
I love working with my team on issues for which there is not yet a solution, driving new things forward and supporting them individually in developing their full potential.
In addition to a fulfilling job, it is just as important to me to spend valuable time with my family. Festo offers me exactly that: a good balance between work and private life.
Jan Seyler,
Head of AI and Control Engineering
Pamela Kieber started out as an electronics technician in development department at Festo and has continued to develop ever since. For her, it is not only the technology but also the colleagues who make the working environment at Festo so special.
"In over 10 years at Festo, I've always had the opportunity to develop, learn new things and take on challenging tasks and projects. It was never about a title or academic background, but always about my skills.
In my current position as Project Manager for Novelty Projects in Electric Automation, I have the perfect combination: working with exciting technology and great people. Within the projects, we work in a very solution-oriented way with a high level of personal commitment, trust and passion for technology. I find it very special that everyone is always willing to share knowledge and that across departmental boundaries.
I'm excited about the opportunities I have at Festo and I'm looking forward to what's coming up in the next years."

Lena Hägele successfully completed her master's degree in technical cybernetics at the University of Stuttgart. She joined Festo in 2016 and is currently working in development on the control of pneumatic systems. Through a scholarship at Festo, combined with a working student position and an internship in the area of process automation, she was previously able to get to know work processes and make valuable contacts.
"With the direct entry at Festo, a long-awaited wish has come true for me. As an expert in control engineering at Festo, my responsibilities include modeling, identifying and validating pneumatic systems and their components in automation technology. New and exciting challenges are always waiting for me. The fact that I am now involved in a future topic, with a focus on digitalization, makes me particularly happy. I am involved in the development of the Festo Motion Terminal, which stands for the digitalization of pneumatics, and I have just been given responsibility for its development. I really appreciate the fact that I have the opportunity to grow and constantly develop here.
In addition to the exciting tasks, however, it is above all my colleagues who make working at Festo so special - helpful, trusting and up for any fun."
Lena Hägele,
