Control engineering

The Fundamentals of Control Engineering training package provides a quick and easy-to-understand introduction to the subject of controllers and controlled systems.

Control technology at your fingertips

Our modular plug-in modules can be used to create a wide variety of controllers. This allows learners to build and analyze different controller structures in the simplest way. The P, I and D components can be combined as required in this system.

TP 1013: Fundamentals of control engineering

Control engineering simple and easy to understand

The training package Fundamentals of Control Engineering offers a quick and easy-to-understand introduction to the subject of controllers and controlled systems.

Particularly important in this context are the basic concepts of control engineering, the behavior of various controllers and the structured analysis of requirements for controlled systems. In the projects, ways and means for the analysis and solution of control problems are shown and deepened by experiments. The equipment set allows the fast and flexible construction of different controllers and thus enables the simple investigation of their behavior in interaction with controlled systems of different orders.

All parts of the equipment set are completely equipped with safety connectors. The combiboard EduTrainer Digital and Control Technology included in the equipment set provides the necessary supply voltages for all experiments and also contains a square-wave generator with seven different output frequencies. This Kombiboard EduTrainer is also used in the Digital Technology training package.

Order now: workbook

In the tasks of the workbook, concrete, realistic projects are to be worked on in each case with problem definition, boundary conditions and project assignment.

The workbook contains:

  • sample solutions
  • Didactic notes
  • Multimedia CD-ROM with graphicsUSB stick with (or download access to) graphics
  • Worksheets for the learner

The worksheets support the learner in the information and planning phase, through execution to control and documentation. All tasks require the learner to perform, evaluate and document independently.

Making control technology easy to understand

With our additional controlled systems, abstract processes can be experienced realistically.

Whether filling level, temperature, position or speed... our controlled system models make it possible to understand physical variables.

Basic terms of control engineering

Especially important in this context are the fundamental concepts of control engineering, the behavior of different controllers, and the structured analysis of requirements for control systems.

In the projects, methods and approaches for analyzing and solving control problems are presented and deepened through experiments.

The equipment set allows for quick and flexible construction of various controllers, facilitating the investigation of their behavior in combination with control systems of different orders.

Additionally, there is the option to control the control systems using the plug-in modules or to simulate and deepen the theory of control engineering in FluidSIM®.
