With modular industrial components and modern automation technology, a flexible learning environment is created that can be individually expanded and continuously grows with the training goals.

A particular advantage of the MPS is the consistent flow of individual workpieces: production and automation processes are mapped transparently, comprehensibly and in a didactically clearly structured way. The system does not require a higher-level MES and thus remains clear, directly controllable and ideal for a practical entry into industrial automation.

Thanks to its modular design, the MPS can be configured particularly flexibly. New stations can be integrated as well as existing stations. Individual stations can be used independently of each other, used for specific learning content and then reintegrated into a linked production line. This creates a versatile learning system that makes it possible to experience both individual sub-processes and complete production processes in a realistic way.

Which learning objectives can be conveyed with MPS stations?

MPS stations convey basic principles of industrial automation in a practical and clear way. These include, in particular:

  • Conveyor and handling technology
  • Control of sub-processes
  • Structure and function of standardised production step

At the same time, they enable learners to systematically build up and deepen their mechatronic skills, for example in the following areas:

  • Interaction of hardware, software and process logic

MPS stations – hands-on learning and understanding industrial processes

The MPS stations of the Modular Production System form the heart of modern, practice-oriented training in mechatronics and automation technology. Each station represents a typical sub-process from a real production environment and enables learners to experience automation directly and in an application-oriented way.

Thanks to the modular design, the stations can be used individually or combined to form complete production lines. Just two stations are enough to map a simple automated process. This creates a flexible learning system that grows with the learning objectives and can be adapted to individual educational requirements.

Even the simplest combination of distribution and sorting makes it possible to learn central automation functions such as separating, feeding, recognizing or sorting. With each additional station, complexity and learning scenarios expand.
