Using the business software package SAP ERP, SAP offers one of the leading ERP systems on the market. Therefore, training in SAP ERP knowledge represents a valuable qualification gain for companies and trainees.
With SAP4School IUS, a didactic program was developed using SAP ERP as integrated business software (IUS) to learn in a practical way using the model company "Global Bike Inc.".
In addition to the technical qualification, it promotes an interdisciplinary approach and working in mixed commercial and industrial teams.
We offer the link from SAP4School IUS to our learning environment in factory automation.
The processes do not end virtually with orders, but are transferred to real production orders in the didactic Manufacturing Execution System MES4.
In the next stept production at a real CP Factory or in a factory simulation is controlled through CIROS.
The value chain can thus be mapped completely - in the case of the factory simulation even without in-depth technical knowledge.
This connection is integrated into the didactic concept of SAP4School as module D5 by the Center for School Quality and Teacher Education (ZSL) with learning materials.
From ERP to the learning factory
Either real plants - e.g. CP Lab and CP Factory - or simulations in CIROS can be used as model factory for the SAP4School IUS training program.
In both cases, the model factory is controlled via the MES4. The MES4 communicates with the SAP client of the educational institution. This is hosted at the SAP University Competence Center (UCC) in Magdeburg.
For communication, the SAP interface is required on the MES side, as well as a MES interface on the cloud side, which is also hosted at the UCC and included in the package for 5 years.
For the SAP4School UIS training program, you need an SAP ERP client through SAP4School IUS or SAP University Alliances.
The solution package in detail
Package virtual factory for SAP Global Bike (1 license) includes
- 1 MES4 license
- 1 SAP interface for MES4
- 1 MES interface for SAP clients at hosting provider UCC, executable for 5 years
- 1 CIROS Player, including example simulation
Package virtual factory for SAP Global Bike (16 licenses) includes
- 16 CIROS Players with the CP factory models for factory simulation
- 16 MES4 licenses
- 16 SAP interfaces for MES4
- 1 interface for SAP clients at the hosting provider UCC, executable for 5 years
With this package up to 16 learners can simulate your individual virtual factory at the same time. The order data is synchronized with the SAP client of the school, where each learner maintains his order data.
Real or virtually
Each virtual factory model is also available as a real I4.0 plant CP-Lab / CP Factory.
