"Festo was open to all our input on the training content. We were able to combine content from existing seminars into the Coop seminar for maintenance and servicing of mechatronic systems. In addition, our desired inputs were also included. This is how we created a tailor-made offer 3 years ago, which we can offer our employees 2x a year. It is gladly attended by the employees and corresponds 100% to our expectations."
Downtimes due to machine malfunctions can easily be halved with preventive maintenance and appropriate maintenance strategies. To do this, employees must be fit in troubleshooting
and have the appropriate skills to think their way into complex functional contexts and then proceed systematically.
In order to promote these skills, Coop was to set up a training programme that would give employees a practical and lively understanding of the subject matter through everyday examples.
After the four-day training in the training rooms at Festo in Lupfig, all participants should be able to carry out standardised maintenance and minor repairs on their machines themselves.
It started with the basics in mechanical-pneumatic-electrical engineering technologies. Afterwards, the participants learned everything about the structure and mode of operation of a PLC. As a introduction to the practical part, they were able to gain in-depth knowledge of troubleshooting with the eLab courses in the Festo LX learning platform.
The practical part was then about goal-oriented questioning, the use of machine documentation and the focus was on the practical exercises for systematic troubleshooting and the use of the troubleshooting strategies developed for this purpose.
Motivated employees – through the active promotion and further development of employees into competent, future-oriented specialists who stay with the company in the long term because they appreciate the company's initiative. Securing Switzerland as a production location. Save time and money, as technicians can analyze and resolve faults more quickly in their day-to-day work.
"I took part in the training because I wanted to get to know the different components and functions of the machines better. I would now like to use the new knowledge I have learned in my everyday tasks and hope to expand my know-how even further with the in-depth experience in practice.
I found the seminar very well structured, the relationship between theory and practice is balanced and therefore the training day is very entertaining. I think that all employees who come into contact with Festo components in the company should attend this seminar."
"I took part in the training to get a better understanding of Festo components so that I can fix errors and faults more effectively in my everyday life in the future.
The EVA principle I have learned will help me to do my work better in practice from now on.
The seminar is varied and I really appreciated the large practical component. The course instructor is very pleasant and the fact that you can independently modify and test the applications on the learning systems was fun."
