Electric rotary actuators are used for turning and placing parts, simple indexing table applications as well as a rotary axis in multi-axis applications. Our solutions are as varied as the requirements for drives. In addition to electric rotary actuators available as a rotary module with toothed belt, as a rotary drive with stepper motor and gear unit or as a complete solution with drive, motor and servo drive, you will also find a front unit with an integrated rotary drive.
The rotary drive unit ERMS is our complete solution consisting of an integrated drive, motor and servo drive. It is suitable for simple swiveling tasks with a swivel angle of 90° or 180° as well as increased mechanical loads. One highlight is the simple commissioning according to the plug and work principle. All of the parameters can be set manually on the unit itself, without any software or specialized know-how. In addition, it does not require an external servo drive or control cabinet for installation. The two control options integrated as standard, digital I/O and IO-Link®, make ERMS an attractive solution package for electric rotary actuators.
Dynamic and flexible turning works particularly well with the Festo rotary module ERMB. It is an electromechanical rotary module with a toothed belt that can be freely positioned and used as a single rotary axis with any angle of rotation, even above 360°, or "stand-alone" as a small NC-controlled rotary table. ERMB gets high scores with its compact design and uncomplicated attachment thanks to mounting interfaces on all sides.
The rotary drive ERMO is ideal for swiveling, rotating and aligning parts or workpieces under higher loads. This electric rotary actuator with stepper motor and integrated gear unit is easy to assemble and is typically used in simple rotary indexing table applications and as a rotary axis in multi-axis applications. Its backlash-free ball bearing is very precise, while the preloaded turntable has very good axial and concentric running properties.
The ERMH front unit has an integrated rotary drive for attachment to a Z-axis, which enables maximum dynamics of the Z-axis thanks to its optimized weight. The electromechanical rotary module with servo motor and gear unit optionally offers a pneumatic rotary through-feed for vacuum or gauge pressure. The maximum drive speed is 200 revolutions per minute.
