Dr. Michael Sinsbeck, Head of Bionic Projects at Festo
With our automation technology, we want to provide climate-friendly solutions and thus contribute to improving the quality of life of present and future generations. Therefore, we are working intensively on how processes can be carried out with less material consumption and more recycling, and which alternative materials can be used.
Developing biology as a field of activity for automation is particularly promising. That is why we at Festo have established the research field of biologization. In connection with other companies, associations and institutes, we are researching how we can accelerate and scale biological processes with the help of sophisticated control and regulation technology, and thus make them economically viable.
With BioTech Automation, we also present an overview of already available components and solutions based on selected cultivation processes, which are demonstrated in two bioreactors and a training system.
