Machine Learning Vision System – Practice-oriented introduction to the basics of artificial intelligence
Building on the foundations of the AI Starter Kit, our Vision System takes learners deeper into the areas of image processing, deep learning, and AI-powered image recognition.
They first learn about the methods of classical image processing before discovering the possibilities of modern AI processes. This head-to-head comparison provides a sound understanding of the differences between rule-based image processing and AI-based approaches. At the same time, the respective strengths, limits and possible applications of the technologies are clearly conveyed.

Further informationIn the next step, different AI technologies will be combined with each other. The combination of AI-based image processing and a local Large Language Model (LLM) creates a particularly intuitive human-machine interaction.
This technology is used in our cobot station. Users can control the robot via voice or text input and experience how modern AI systems combine perception, interpretation and action. As a result, AI is not only understood, but can also be experienced directly in a realistic automation application.

Whether in the MPS 400, the CP Lab or the CP Factory – FESTO AX can be seamlessly integrated into existing learning environments. The learners learn step by step how process data is recorded, processed and analyzed. They then train their own machine learning models to automatically detect deviations and potential malfunctions.
In this way, they expand their competencies from AI-supported quality control to intelligent condition monitoring and learn to optimize entire production systems based on data.
