Digitalised piezo control delivers an exceptional performance
The piezo bender is the innovative core element of the VEAB with IO-Link®. It is further enhanced by optimised control behaviour and useful additional functions. The proportional characteristics of a directly actuated piezo bender ensure stable and reliable regulation, and an infinitely variable pressure rise. This is interesting for all those industries requiring IO-Link® communication. The valves control flows of up to 20 l/min with maximum precision, low hysteresis, high repeat accuracy, low energy consumption and completely quietly.

Teaching robot with piezo technology
Case study
To help future dentists and dental assistants deal with children during dental treatments, the Japanese company tmsuk has developed a humanoid robot that realistically simulates the behaviour of young children during these treatments, complete with fidgeting, flinching or closing the mouth. The dummy’s realistic movements are produced using proportional pressure regulators with piezo technology.
