Proportional directional control valves

Proportional directional valves are used in pneumatics and hydraulics to release or block the path for compressed air or hydraulic fluid or to change the flow direction. They are final control elements in servopneumatic positioning systems and are usually indispensable.

MPYE

The Festo proportional directional control valve MPYE is a controlled piston spool valve with analogue control. It has a position-controlled slide and can be set up in conjunction with a position controller and a displacement encoder to form a precise pneumatic positioning system. Thanks to the throttle function to vary the cylinder speed and a 5/3-way function to vary the direction of movement, you can customize MPYE to suit your needs. Flow rates of 100...2000 L/min are possible with this proportional directional control valve.

VPWP

The VPWP proportional directional control valve is also a controlled spool valve, but with digital rather than analogue control. The integrated pressure sensors, which have a monitoring function and reliably ensure the correct force control, are characteristic of VPWP. Other features include auto-identification, the diagnostics function and an integrated digital output for a clamp or brake unit, for example. In servopneumatic applications, VPWP is almost always used with an axis controller CPX-CMAX and an end-position controller CPX-CMPX.

VPWS

The proportional directional control valve VPWS is our compact and powerful new development. The VPWS is an extremely lightweight, compact 15 mm cartridge valve with a high flow rate. As a directly controlled poppet valve, the VPWS regulates the flow of gases reliably and accurately - whether oxygen, carbon dioxide, air, nitrous oxide or inert gases. Keep in mind, however, that the VPWS contains no redundancy and no error detection. The VPWS is attached to a sub-base.
