We work in close collaboration with you to develop your new lab-on-a-chip system, relying on an existing modular system composed of tried-and-tested components. Based on the requirements of the assay, we quickly design samples for the subsequent automation process. What is unique is that even in this early development phase, we use components that will also be used in your final product.

Miniaturized and integrated: components and basic elements

Point-of-care applications require compact, space-saving, and reliable components:

  • Miniature cylinders deliver actuator technology in the smallest of spaces.
  • Miniature valves control many closely spaced channels.
  • Miniature sensors monitor the pressure.

Basic elements are small functional units that integrate two or more components and are tailored to criteria such as available space or required flow rate. The result is a valve block specifically designed for the layout of the microfluidic chip.

Small, fast, versatile and durable: The compact miniature valve can be used to control many tightly spaced channels or cylinders. Optional: compact electronics module with holding current reduction.

Their slim design makes these cylinders particularly suitable for compact multiple assemblies, e.g. in IVD-POC devices, test fields for keyboards or mobile phones.

Cartridge cylinder

Thanks to its small footprint, the fully screw-in single-acting cylinder is ideal e.g. for use in IVD-POC devices.

Solenoid valve

Piezo valve

Piezo valve VEMP

Small, lightweight piezo valve for proportional control of pressure or flow. Suitable for use in mobile devices, e.g. in medical technology. When combined with a sensor, it can be used as a control valve.

For pressure ranges up to 6 bar: piezo technology gives the VEAB high precision and an extremely long service life. Other benefits include: Extremely short switching times, noiseless operation and very low power consumption.
