Festo in Eatontown, New Jersey recently hosted a partnership summit with industry 3Mgives and NC3. Participants included nearly a dozen instructors from high schools, colleges, and universities from five different states. The two-day event introduced NC3's newest certification "Introduction to Mechatronics" where instructors had an opportunity to participate in lab projects, a mechatronics competition, and concluded with an Industry 4.0-focused Train-the-Trainer certification exam, which all instructors passed.

3Mgives works to create a meaningful difference through social investment, K-12 STEM grants, donation matching, and community building. Together, Festo and 3Mgives are providing critical support in classrooms, introducing students to mechatronics fundamentals, and illuminating a path towards Industry 4.0 training and certification in preparation for jobs of the future.

Along with NC3, a top certification accrediting body in the industry, the Didactic team has been hard at work growing its new Industry 4.0 Certification Program (FI4.0CP), a multi-level, advanced curriculum and hands-on training program that boosts employability by ensuring students and workers are career ready. Since last year’s launch, we’ve successfully reached and trained dozens of interested institutions, instructors, and students. Patrick Henry Community College in Virginia has already issued over 300 FI4.0CP certifications to students.

By steadily growing our manufacturing and educational partnerships, and expanding our educational offerings, Festo Didactic continues to move forward in its mission to ensure industrial workers have the right skills for high-tech, in-demand careers.
