Handling and positioning small parts

Robots and electric linear actuators specially developed for laboratory equipment make it possible to carry out several process steps in one workspace. An example of this is the three-dimensional gantry EXCL: With stepper motors and optional motion controller it can be easily integrated in desktop systems. You can further extend the functionality of the system with two independently moving Z-axes. The maintenance-free system is tested and documented.

You have a wide range of options for designing the kinematics for your laboratory device:

  • Handling gantries in X-Y-Z direction, e.g. EXCL, optionally with two Z-axes and two Y-axes that can move independently of each other
  • Handling gantries in X-Y direction, e.g. EXCM
  • Electric linear actuators for the Z direction, e.g. EGSC, ELGC, ELGA
  • Motors and motor controllers for control, e.g. CMXL, CMMT-ST, EMMS-ST

Gripping and decapping of sample vials

Opening and closing sample vails is one of the core processes in sample preparation. Combined rotary gripper modules perform two process steps at once: gripping and decapping or re-capping. The special feature here is that the EHMD rotary gripping module is suitable for a wide range of vial sizes and heights with different lid types.
